WebCT is the centrally supported
learning management system used at the University of Western
Australia. This site contains information for staff using WebCT as

[25/07/2008] WebCT Semester 2 Student Population Added
Semester 2 students will be added to their resepective units at midnight on July 24.
Students should have access from June 25.
Staff should check your units and reprt any issues to: staff-support@webct.uwa.edu.au.
[24/07/2008] WebCT Unavailable 24/07/08 7pm-10pm WST
The UWA WebCT system will be unavailable to both Staff and Student on Thursday 24th July, 2008 between 7pm and 8pm WST.
During this period the eLearning Development and Support Team will be finalising essential work we have been undertaking throughout June and July on the hardware infrastructure that supports WebCT. This work is necessary to further increase the speed and reliability of the system as the number of users continues to increase.
In Semester 1, 2008 some users may have experienced software related problems, particularly when using the Safari or Mozilla Firefox Internet Browsers on a Mac or with certain types of files produced by the Microsoft Officer 2007 Suite. Although the hardware upgrade we will be undertaking on the 24th of July will not immediately resolve these issues, it will provide a necessary foundation for us to implement a software update in August which should resolve these and other issues.
We apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused, and we will endeavour to keep you informed as to the progress and outcomes of these upgrades.

[29/06/2006] WebCT Scheduled Downtime
WebCT will be unavailable from 6:00am Thursday June 29 and possibly
Friday June 30, 2006. We will notify users by 5:00pm Thursday June 29th
if WebCT 6 will be unavailable on the Friday.
This downtime period is required to apply patches to the servers which address reported usability issues.
